Vegan Cream Cheese Icing

This recipe for vegan cream cheese icing not only tastes amazing, it is so easy to mix.

Alternative plant based cream cheese product is really easy to smooth out.

Just be sure to get the Earth Balance Buttery Sticks to the same pliable consistency to avoid any lumps.

Vegan Cream Cheese Icing

Just today I made Vegan Carrot Cake Cupcakes  with this icing and well………let’s just say I made some new believers out of vegan recipes!

I also used  this icing as a filling for my Vegan Chocolate Cake Recipe and it was out of this world!

(Yes one of my guilty pleasures is smothering chocolate cake wedges with cream cheese icing!)

Vegan Cream Cheese Icing

Serves: 4 cups
Ingredients
  • Vegan Cream Cheese 2 Tubs (2cups) (454g)
  • Earth Balance 1 stick (½ cup) (112g)
  • Confectioner's Sugar 2 cups (240g)
  • Vanilla Extract 1 teaspoon
  • Butter Extract 1 teaspoon
Instructions
  1. Smooth cream cheese and butter with a paddle attachment
  2. Add sifted confectioners sugar, blend on low just to combine
  3. Add extracts
Notes
Store Vegan Cream Cheese in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, or freeze from 1 month.

Be sure to keep pastries and cakes made with Vegan Cream Cheese Icing refrigerated until serving

    1. HI Fran! thanks! I do plan to get more GF recipes after the new year when I can take a breather from the mad dash of replacing all the old recipes!
      You are welcome for Vegan recipes, I do plan to get more of THAT done too! Yikes! My schedule is quite full already for 2016! Woohoo!
      I find Vegan Cream Cheese in alot of the regular supermarkets now! Many people are converting to vegan for one reason or another – some lactose people need it, so it is more readily available, ask you grocer if they carry it, its usually next to the other dairy though
