Butterfingers Cake

butterfingers-cake

Nobody better lay a finger on my Butterfingers Cake!

Ok so that’s my best Bart Simpson imitation, yes I am dating myself!

But he had a good point!  Butterfingers are so addictive that you may not want to share!

Creating this candy bar into a layer cake though, was a really good idea if I do say so myself!

The butterfingers definitely took center stage here, which was my intention, however I probably should have chopped them just a little bit more for the filling part since I had a difficult time cutting through the cake at the end.

The chocolate cake and light peanut butter buttercream was subtle enough to really carry the butterfinger chunks through in each bite!

And BONUS! They stayed crunchy inside the cake too!

So, go ahead and give it a go….I bet you will LOVE this!

I do know that some folks cannot get Butterfingers (Boo! Bummer!!) So, you can of course substitute any other candy bar in place of the butterfingers if you can’t get those.

  2. Not sure if it’s me ; the music can be heard in this video but your voice is all garbled.
I can follow the typed recipe and watch the video to put it all together but since your voice is garbled I don’t know what chocolate you swiped on the side of the cake.
    Thanks!
